Assam Governor directs DCs, SPs to ensure effective implementation of eight key welfare schemes
Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya has urged all District Commissioners (DCs) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) to take special initiatives for the full implementation of eight welfare schemes introduced by Raj Bhavan, Assam. He appealed during a video conference held on Monday from Raj Bhavan, Assam, in the presence of Chief Secretary Ravi Kota.
Sharing an overview of the schemes, Governor Acharya emphasized the critical role of district officials in ensuring their successful execution. “Your dedication and efficiency are crucial in delivering development programs to the people. It is essential to implement these schemes swiftly and with transparency so that their benefits reach the last person in society,” he stated.
Highlighting the government’s focus on youth empowerment, the Governor noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is making dedicated efforts to equip young people with skills and leadership abilities. Several of the newly introduced schemes aim to promote youth development and leadership training in Assam.
To facilitate the effective execution of these initiatives, Raj Bhavan, Assam, will provide logistical and resource support to Nehru Yuva Kendra, Sainik Welfare Directorate, Assam, NCC, and NSS. The Governor urged DCs and SPs to cooperate in this effort to maximize the impact of these programs.
Raj Bhavan Assam on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched eight schemes namely Governor Assam’s Pratibha Protsahan Yojana, Governor Assam’s Vishwakarma Samman, Governor Assam’s Award for Excellence, Governor Assam’s Bhasha Protsahan Yojana, Governor Assam’s Varishtha Shikshak Samman, Governor Assam Rashtriya Kritagyata Evam Jagrookta Yojana, Governor Assam Amrit Sarovar – Sadbhavna Sangat Protsahan Yojana and Governor Assam Kartavya se Vikas Yojana.
