Assam, Meghalaya border panel to meet soon over Langpih sector: Paul
SHILLONG, DEC 20: Chairman of the Regional Committee for West Khasi Hills and cabinet minister, Paul Lyngdoh has said that he is in touch with his Assam counterpart for resuming discussion on the Langpih sector, which is one of the remaining unresolved six areas of difference shared between Meghalaya and Assam.
Speaking to media reporters, Lyngdoh said, “I would like to share with you that the fact that this sentiment was also conveyed to our counterparts in Assam.
At the DC level, the DC of West Khasi Hills has taken up with the DC of Kamrup District. I have also taken up the matter with the chairman Patowari. So far the response has not been encouraging…”
“But we would like the conversation to continue and hopefully we will be in a position to meet very soon,” he added.
