Assembly Speaker accepts resignation of Saleng

Assembly Speaker Thomas A Sangma on Tuesday accepted the resignation of Saleng A Sangma as Gambegre MLA.

Saleng had submitted his resignation on Monday following his election as new Tura MP.

“The Speaker has accepted his (Saleng) resignation,” Assembly’s Commissioner & Secretary Andrew Simons informed here.

Saleng defeated Chief Minister’s sister and former Tura MP Agatha K Sangma by a massive margin of over 1.55 lakh votes.
