Assembly Speaker visits BSF border outpost in South Garo Hills

Assembly Speaker Thomas A. Sangma, accompanied by a team of civil officials on Friday visited the Border Out Post Baghmara, 200 Bn BSF, South Garo Hills, Meghalaya.

During his visit, he received a briefing from Vinod Yadav, Commandant of 200 Bn BSF, on the operational challenges and accomplishments of the BSF in the region.

The Speaker also interacted with BSF troops stationed at the post, expressing his deep appreciation for their dedication and commending their unwavering commitment to securing the border.

Recognizing the essential role of the BSF in maintaining border security and national integrity, he encouraged the troops to continue their exemplary service with pride and dedication. He affirmed that the people of Meghalaya stand behind them and are very proud of the BSF.
