At a click of a button complain against violation of human rights
The Secretary General, National Human Rights Commission in a communication to the Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya has informed that in order to increase efficiency in the functioning of the National Human Rights Commission and to encourage paperless working, the Commission is shifting towards online working.
For this purpose, software used in the Complaint Management Information System (CMIS) has been improved and every document is being converted in the digital form, the case files are being maintained and examined in digital form and the communications are sent to the public authorities as well as the complainants through email: [email protected] and earlier practice of sending the Commission’s directions and other documents through postal services is being discontinued gradually. The public authorities have also been requested to send their reports using HRC Net Portal www.hrcnet.nic.in for which the State HR Nodal Officer have already been provided with login and password, added the Secretary General.
The Secretary General informed all the public authorities that the email communications received through [email protected] are treated as official and approved communication of the Commission and these are accepted and responded as required under the provisions of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. Public authorities are also requested that correct email IDs be updated on the official websites and the communications received from the Commission through email may be transmitted/forwarded to the concerned answerable public servant by the recipient under intimation to the Commission.
