Bangladesh freedom fighters visited Shillong

To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Bangladesh Liberation War and 75th year of Independence – Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav jointly, a delegation of 25 Bangladesh Mukti Jodhas (Freedom Fighters) who were involved in the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation war paid a visit to Shillong on Tuesday.

The delegation led by Haroon Habib was accorded a warm welcome by F R Kharkongor, Commissioner & Secretary, Arts & Culture and K L Nongbri, Joint Secretary, Arts & Culture at U Soso Tham Auditorium, Shillong.

A delegation of 25 Bangladesh Mukti Jodhas (Freedom Fighters) who were on a visit to Shillong visited Mawphlang Sacred Grove to experience the ecological heritage of the Khasis.
