BDO to function at Lumshnong every market day

Pending the creation of a community and rural development (C&RD) Block in Lumshnong, the Deputy Commissioner East Jaintia Hills District has come up with an innovative idea of hosting the office of Wapung C&RD Block once a week in Lumshnong village as to bring governance closer the people of the areas.

The notification informed in the interest of public services and for the smooth and effective implementation of different schemes of the Govt. the Office of the Block Development Officer Wapung C & RD Block shall also function once in every market day of the week at Lumshnong village.

This will be in consultation with the Waheh Shnong/Headman Lumshnong village.

All Officers & Staffs dealing with different schemes in their respective circles nearest or within the camp office at Lumshnong village are instructed to perform their official duties on every market day at Lumshnong accordingly and the rest of the days will function at Wapung Block Hqtr.

The BDO will monitor and ensure on the functioning of official matters as mentioned above and to submit a report to the Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DRDA on weekly basis.

This Order shall come into effect from the date of issue and until further order.
