Bernard N Marak moves bail plea

The wife of BJP state vice president and Tura MDC Bernard N Marak on Friday moved an application requesting the Meghalaya High Court to grant him immediate bail.

The bail application was filed by his wife LK Gracy, sources said. The court has heard both the submission of the counsel for the petitioner and the government’s advocate. However, the order is not out as yet, the source said.

On July 26, Bernard N Marak was arrested from Hapur district in Uttar Pradesh, after he allegedly absconded following a sex racket being busted at his private farm house which led to the rescue of 5 minors and arrest of 73 persons.
