Bethany Hospital Outreach, Nongpoh reopens for patients

Bethany Hospital Outreach, Nongpoh has finally reopened on Monday. 

Congress MLA from Nongpoh Maryalborn Syiem addressed the reopening programme in the presence of RM Kurbah, Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District and Balajied Ranee, MDC Nongpoh among others. 

Speaking in the event, Maryalborn Syiem underlined the need to come together to fight the battle against COVID-19 and urged everyone to spread the awareness about the disease and its prevention.

Bethany Hospital Outreach, Nongpoh is having a phase-wise restart of procedures and services following its shutdown for more than forty days.

On Monday, the hospital resumes first its out patient clinical and diagnostic services. 

Spokesperson of the hospital Dr Kyntiewlang Sanmiet said the phase-in of services will continue to expand in the next few weeks with commencement of emergency and in-patient services, with a focus on stringent measures to protect patients, staff and providers. 

He said hospital zoning, protocols and guidelines are in place to ensure utmost patient safety and quality of care.
