BJP asks fact-finding committee to submit its report into alleged illegal coal mining within 40 days
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is one of the coalition partners of the NPP-led MDA government, on Tuesday asked the fact finding committee to submit its report into the alleged coal mining within 40 days.
In a statement, BJP state general secretary Wankitbok Pohshna said, “The state president Rikman G Momin had constituted a fact finding committee on February 6 and in partial modification to the committee, the following are hereby additionally appointed as members of the committee to look into the alleged illegal coal mining in Meghalaya.”
“The committee has now been granted 40 days time to come up with a report on the same,” he added.
He informed that Bernard R Marak has appointed as convener of the committee, Mariahom Kharkrang as secretary and 8 members – Lakhon Biam, Raphius Sangma, Commanderful Sana, Karabar Tynkan, Daniella Nonglait, Darihun Marbaniang, Arun Kumar and Pramod Jain.
