BJP declares Sanbor as its candidate for Shillong LS seat

SHILLONG: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to field South Shillong legislator Sanbor Shullai as its candidate from Shillong parliamentary constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, to be held on April 11.

Shullai was one among the 36 candidates approved by party’s central election committee during its meeting held on Friday.

The three-time legislator will be fighting against opposition Congress MP Vincent H Pala and MDA common candidate Jemino Mawthoh.

Meanwhile, the BJP has also announced Adorsho Sangma as its official candidate for the Selsella bye-election.
