BJP demands removal of KHADC-JHADC adviser
The state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sought for immediate termination of a non-indigenous person, who has been appointed as the adviser of the two ADCs – Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC).
In a statement issued on Saturday, BJP state president Ernest Mawrie has also questioned the credentials and expertise and work profile of Tonu Dey (Gaurav) as an adviser of such an important segment of indigenous institutions.
He said the state leadership articulated that the contributions of educated and experienced indigenous persons has been uninhibited and offended.
“Therefore, the state leadership is of the opinion that prompt action for his termination from the post should be taken at the earliest,” Mawrie stated.
