BJP leaders to walk 150 km as part of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniv

SHILLONG: The Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to celebrate the 150^th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. 

Announcing this here on Friday, BJP state president Shibun Lyngdoh informed that a road map has been prepared for celebrating the birth anniversary of the father of the nation. 

He said the party MLAs and state executive members have been asked to walk 150 kilometers by covering 5-15 km a day to make people aware about the various schemes initiated by the Narendra Modi-led government.

“They will have to cover at least 6 villages in a day as part of the celebration which will start from October 2 to January 31, next year,” Lyngdoh said.
