BJP MDC inspects Tura civil hospital
BJP MDC Bernard N Marak and Tura city team visited the Tura Civil Hospital to take note of the preparation by the State Government to tackle the second wave of Covid19 which is rising very fast in Garo Hills. The team inspected the Oxygen stock and the ICU rooms in the Tura Civil Hospital which was satisfactory as reported by the Superintendent of Tura Civil Hospital.
Marak said Tura Civil Hospital needs to be in its best state as TCH acts as the last resort to other four districts of Garo Hills. The empty oxygen cylinders will be refilled next week and at present TCH have more than 200 cylinders ready out of a total 444 cylinders. The ICU rooms are also ready and most of the medicines, sanitizers etc are all in stock.
However, the Government needs to arrange quarantine centres other than the paid quarantine centres and the PPE kits need to be arranged in advance for those who are working in the frontline. The blood banks also need to be made ready with good supply of blood through proper awareness, he said.
Marak said that the BJP wants to assist in every way possible to provide support to tackle the rise of Covid cases in the State. “BJP will also monitor supply of ration and other facilities provided by the Centre to the people in general,” he stated.
