BJP will come back to power at Centre: Hek
Senior BJP leader and cabinet minister Alexander Laloo Hek on Friday expressed confidence that the party will come back to power at the Centre next year.
“You do whatever, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hundred percent sure to win again to rule to form the government at the Centre,” Hek told reporters.
“The only appeal to all the people is why to waste their votes…as they should vote for a strong national party, which is the BJP as it is going to be ruling at the Centre,” he added.
Hek also informed that the BJP is going to set up candidates in both the Shillong and Tura parliamentary constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to be held next year.
“However, we are yet to decide on the names of the candidates,” he said while adding that they welcome anybody who wants to support the party.
When asked, Hek said coalition partners in the MDA like NPP, UDP are also going to set up candidates as they did in all elections.
“Like in the concluded elections, all parties have set up their own candidates and are contesting against each other as MDA partners,” he added.
