Border Haats and Markets in Inter-State Border of WJH allows to reopen
The District Magistrate of West Jaintia Hills has allowed reopening of Trade in Border Haats and markets located in the Inter-State border from October 26, 2020.
In an order issued on Friday, District Magistrate said that Border Haats and markets located in the Inter-State border are exempted from the purview of the Prohibitory Order issued on October 22 subject to compliance with strict adherence to the social distancing protocols of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya.
“In addition, SOPs and other protocols already put in place or being put in place by the Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India which must be strictly complied with,” the order said.
