Boxing Championship conclude
JOWAI: The two days ‘4th All Jaiñtia Open Boxing Championship 2019’ concluded last Saturday at Kiang Nangbah Indoor Sports Hall, Jowai.
The boxing championship was organised by West Jaiñtia Boxing Association (WJBA) in collaboration with the office of the District Sports Officer, West Jaiñtia Hills, Jowai.
The competition had about 50 boys and girls from East and West Jaiñtia Hills districts participating in the tournament.
The medal winners among boys in different weight categories are:
26-28 KG: Damonmitre Dhar (Gold),Dabetmiki Dhar (Silver)
38-41 KG: Becareful Sumer (Gold), Ferdinand Dkhar (Silver)
46-49 KG: Wametrae Dkhar (Gold), Dulang Dhar (Silver), G. Joachim Dkhar (Bronze), Seibor Shadap (Bronze)
49-52 KG: Michael Langstang (Gold), Sunshine Rymbai (Silver), Ram Lyngdoh (Bronze), Wandame Khonglah (Bronze)
52-56 KG: Bahlung Papeng (Gold), Pynioladmi Pala (Silver), Mewan Phawa (Bronze), Kordor S. Manner (Bronze)
56-60 KG: Winner Talang (Gold), Rimi-I Bareh (Silver), Shandametre Pajuh (Bronze), Ioannis Langstang (Bronze)
60-64 KG: Badonkupar Synnah (Gold), Bhakupar Sungoh (Silver), Baiamutlang Sungoh (Bronze), Bhalang Sha
In the girls section, the medal winners are:
36-40 KG: Elisha Talang (Gold), Dakahipaia Lyngdoh (Silver)
52-56 KG: Basiadiamki Talang (Gold), Tredisha Lamare (Silver), Rebeka Tang (Bronze).
The title of Most Promising Boxer was awarded to Miss Elisha Talang and Master Wametrae Dkhar while the title of Best Boxer was won by Miss Basiadiamki Talang and Master Winner Talang.
