BSF Meghalaya apprehends five Bangladeshi nationals, two Indians

BSF Meghalaya of the 4th Battalion apprehended five Bangladeshi nationals near Pyrdiwah village in East Khasi Hills on March 31. They were attempting to infiltrate into Indian territory. Two Indian nationals, who were transporting them in a taxi, were also detained.
Acting on specific intelligence, alert BSF personnel intercepted the movement and successfully prevented the infiltration. In recent times, BSF has intensified operations along the border to curb illegal crossings.
The apprehended individuals have been handed over to Pynursla Police Station for further legal proceedings.
BSF Meghalaya remains committed to securing India’s international border and preventing any illegal cross-border activities.
