BSF Meghalaya distributes essentials item and educational aids in bordering villages
The 193rd Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Meghalaya, as part of its ongoing initiatives to ensure the well-being of residents along the international border and school-going children, organized a Civic Action Programme on March 19. This event took place in the bordering village of Purnanagar, located in the East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya.
The programme commenced with the inauguration by the esteemed presence of the eldest woman from Purnanagar Village, symbolizing the strong bond with the local community. Rajiv Kumar, Commandant of the 193rd Bn BSF Meghalaya, graced the occasion, underlining BSF’s dedication to community welfare and engagement.
During the event, the BSF distributed essential supplies to the community centers in the villages of Betgora, Khaikona, Purnanagar and Badrup. Furthermore, computers, desks, and sports equipment were provided to school students to support their academic progress and overall development. The distribution took place in the presence of school teachers, village elders and nearby residents. The villagers expressed heartfelt gratitude to the BSF for their benevolent efforts.
