BSF Meghalaya foils border smuggling, seizes cattle and other items

In a swift and successful operation, vigilant troops of the 193rd Battalion, Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya, thwarted a smuggling attempt near the international border in the East Khasi Hills district.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, BSF troops swiftly intercepted smugglers in the border area of Dulainala seizing miscellaneous items and cattle, worth more than Rs 27 lakh, which were intended to be smuggled into Bangladesh.

The seized items have been handed over to the concerned authorities for further legal action.

The BSF remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring national security by maintaining strict vigilance along the borders and preventing any unlawful cross-border activities.
