BSF Meghalaya organizes Civic Action Programme and Free Medical Camp in border villages

BSF Meghalaya organised a Civic Action Programme (CAP) cum Free Medical Camp successfully on March 21, in border villages Dangar and Nolikata in the East and South West Khasi Hills districts. The event was graced by the presence of Manoj Kumar Barnwal, DIG SHQ BSF Shillong and Rajiv Kumar, Comdt 193 Bn BSF.
The event witnessed active participation from local headmen, the Medical Officer from PHC Dangar, and approximately 650 villagers including students from surrounding areas. This initiative aimed to provide much-needed healthcare services and community support to the residents of the bordering areas.
During the CAP, various essential items such as computers, water storage tanks, plastic chairs and tables, sports items, and utensils were distributed to the nearby villagers and school children. Doctors from BSF conducted medical check-ups, and free medicines were also distributed to the patients during the Free Medical Camp. Furthermore, a captivating cultural program was organized by the talented school children of Govt Upper Primary School Dangar.
The headmen and local villagers expressed their appreciation for the noble effort of BSF Meghalaya in providing essential items and medical support to the needy border villagers.
