Budget session of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly to commence from March 4

The Budget Session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will commence from March 4 to March 17.
This was informed by the Assembly Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh after chairing a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) on Tuesday.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, Leader of Opposition Mukul Sangma, Congress MLA Ampareen Lyngdoh and others.

Speaking to reporters, the Speaker informed there will be 10 working days. Of this, 7 days have been allotted for government business and 3 days for private members’ business.

The Governor of Meghalaya, Satya Pal Malik will address the House on the first day of the session while the Budget estimates of 2022-23 will be presented on March 9 and it will be passed on March 14.
