Call for electoral enrollment of citizens who attained 18 years in Sutnga Saipung Constituency & Khliehriat Constituency

Photo electoral rolls for the two assembly constituencies under East Jaintia Hills District namely Khliehriat and Sutnga Saipung are ready as per Registration of Electors Roll 1960 and available inspection at the DC’s office and all the concerned polling Station during office hours.

The Qualifying date for the preparation of the electoral roll is 1st January, 2023.

If with reference to the above said qualifying date, there be any claim for the inclusion of a name in the Roll or any objection to the inclusion of name or any objection to particulars in any entry, it should be lodge on or before the 8th December, 2022 in Form 6, 6A, 7, 8 as may be appropriate.

Every such claim or objection should either be presented in the office of the Electoral Registration Officer, 6- Khliehriat (ST) Assembly Constituency or 7- Sutnga Saipung (ST) or to the Booth Level Officer at the Designated Polling Stations or send by post not later than the aforesaid date.

An eligible Citizen, who is going to attain the age of 18 (Eighteen) years on any of the subsequent qualifying dates in the year, 2023, that is to say the 1st of April, 2023, the 1st July, 2023 or the 1st October, 2023, may also file his or her claim for inclusion of his or her name in the roll, in Form- 6 in advance, starting from date of notice, and the same shall be considered and decided in the respective quarter of the year with reference to the respective qualifying date.
