As per latest Weather Warning for India Meteorological Department it shows that incessant rain will continue till 18th June, 2022 which may be extended. In this regards the Deputy Commissioner of cum Chairman District Disaster Management Authority, West Jaintia Hills has advised all localities villages of the District especially those residing in areas along Myntdu River and its tributaries to stay alert for any uncertainties.

The Deputy Commissioner has issued a notification informing that the District Incident Response Team has been activated in the District to take appropriate precaution steps/relief measures as required.

The Deputy Commissioner has also instructed AlI BDOs and officers of line Department in the District to remain in station and monitor the situation in their respect jurisdiction.
