Carrying of cash above Rs.50000/- ban in East Jaintia Hills
The District Magistrate East Jaintia Hills District banned carrying of money above Rs 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) only by any person or group of persons under section 144 CrPC.
Any individual/organization (s) from holding any agitational programme in any form in East Jaintia Hills District.
Meanwhile in seperate order, the District Magistrate East Jaintia Hills has issued a list of prohibitory orders.
Wall writing, pasting of posters/papers or defacement in any other form, or erecting/displaying of cutouts, hoarding, banners, flags, etc is ban on any Government premise.
Displaying of flags and banners in private premises is prohibited except with the voluntary written permission of the occupant/owner.
Displaying of flag and stickers in private vehicle. In case the owner of the vehicle on his own volition decides to display flag/stickers, etc., they should not cause any inconvenience or distraction to other road users.
4Display of any flag, sticker etc. on commercial vehicle unless such vehicle is a vehicle validly used for election campaign after obtaining the requisite permit from the District Election Officer/Returning Officer and the display thereof in original on the wind screen.
Carrying of any type of arms and explosives is prohibited in the entire East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat till the election process is over.
However, this order shall not apply to law enforcing authorities such as police personnel, Home Guards, Forest Personnel, BSF and CPMF personnel. This order will come into force with immediate effect and remain so until further orders.
