Cash for MTET certificate: Unidentified callers attempted to fool candidates
The Director of Educational Research & Training, Meghalaya on Wednesday urged the Meghalaya Police to nail unidentified callers demanding money from candidates who appeared the Meghalaya Teachers Eligibility Test, 2021.
In an FIR lodged with the Officer in-charge, Laitumkhrah Police Station, Shillong, the Director informed that the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) held on the 9th October 2021 was conducted in a free and fair manner in which the Magistrates, Security personnel were involved at all the examination centres all over the State.
The FIR read that few calls had been received by the public of whom some of them were the candidates who had appeared the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) on the 9th October 2021.
The callers have demanded a handsome amount in cash in order to be qualified for the said Test.
The callers called from the mobile numbers 8274811311, 8651937021, 9748932668, 9903539075, 9477215089 and 8811814152.
“In order to prevent candidates to fall prey to such calls whose intention is to tarnish the image and integrity of the Directorate, the undersigned therefore request you to take up the matter seriously to nap those involved by registering a case against them,” the Director said.
