Chi Iung enacted a new video on Election’s Special Summary

West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner B S Sohliya on Wednesday launched the SVEEP awareness Video on Special Summary Revision enacted by ‘Chi iung’.

The Draft Electoral Rolls for the four 1-Nartiang Assembly Constituency, 2- Jowai Assembly Constituency, 3-Raliang Assembly Constituency and 4- Mowkaiaw Assembly Constituency were also distributed to Political Parties in the conference Room Deputy Commissioners Office, Jowai.

The Electoral Rolls is to ensure that all eligible citizens who have attain the age of 18 as on the qualifying date 01.01.2023 get themselves enrolled.

The electoral special summary revision process commenced from Wednesday till 8th December next.

Individuals can apply for inclusion of names in the roll, objection to any particulars or any entry in form 6, 6A, 7 and 8 as may be appropriate.

A special campaign is launched for citizens going to attain the age of 18 years or any subsequent qualifying dates in the year 01.01.2023 that is 1st April, the 1st July or 1st October, 2023 can also file his or her claim for inclusion of his or her name in the roll in Form-6 in advance and the same shall be considered and decided in the respective quarter of the year with reference to the respective qualifying.

During the Revision period Special Campaign will be done on 18th and 9th November, 2022 and 25th and 26th November, 2022 where BLO’s will be available in their respective polling stations to facilitate the voters.
