Chief Justice visits East Garo Hills
The Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court, Justice Biswanath Sommader, accompanied by the Law Secretary, Wilfred Khyllep, visited the Court of the District and Sessions Judge and handed over the computers and other implements to the selected schools under the Legal Literacy Club Scheme, 2012, on 10 June.
Speaking on the day, Justice Sommader said that the computers and other equipments are being given to the schools to bridge the gap of learning post COVID-19 pandemic and urged the students to use them to the best.
The schools which received the computers included Green Yard School, Educere and Loyola College of Williamnagar and Songsak Agitokgre Higher Secondary School of Songsak C&RD Block.
The Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), TTM Sangma highlighted about the Legal Literacy Club Scheme, 2012, while Chief Judicial Magistrate, FS Sangma, delivered the welcome address.
On the day, Justice Sommader also visited the site for staff and judges quarters at Denggagre locality of Williamnagar.
