Chief Minister inaugurates Extension Building of Mawlai Creche

Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma today inaugurated the extended building of the crèche run by the Seng Kynthei Mawlai Nonglum.

In his brief speech to the gathering the Chief Minister congratulating the members of the Seng Kynthei said that the government will soon start the Early Childhood Development Programme which will focus and stress on the mental, physical and emotional growth and development of children between 0-8 years as guiding and nurturing them during this phase is very crucial. He added that this programme will be carried out in centres like the Seng Kynthei Mawlai crèche. He also assured of support for the boundary fencing of the building.

An amount of 6.50 lakhs was aided to the crèche from the Chief Minister’s Special Development Fund and a room was extended to accommodate thirty children.
