CM asks Hek to take the post of adviser seriously
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has asked senior BJP leader AL Hek, who was recently appointed as one of the advisers to the CM, to take his post seriously.
This came as a reaction to a statement made by Hek terming the alleged gunning down of the former HNLC leader Cherishterfield Thangkhiew as a ‘Taliban attitude’ of the state government.
When sought for his comment on this, Sangma said that Hek’s remarks are coming in a very sorry way adding maybe this is just a reaction to the BJP’s decision to reshuffle the cabinet berth.
“…because after the party and the party high command had decided that based on their agreement they had and after I received communication in writing from the party, the minister was changed and Mr Sanbor Shullai was given the time that was left as per their agreement within their party. Therefore, maybe this is just a reaction to that…,” he said.
The Chief Minister further urged the former minister to act in a much more professional and mature manner.
“This is not the way that we deal with things as it is an internal party matter of theirs, they should resolve it and it should not reflect on the government. He (Hek) is an adviser to the Chief Minister and he should take the post seriously and advise in a proper manner,” he stated.
