The Shillong Khasi Jaintia Church Leaders Forum [SKJCLF] devoted to the upliftment of the society and the promotion of peace and harmony, conducted a special Prayer for Meghalaya on Thursday.

More than 30 state leaders took part in the prayer meeting – including Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, Deputy CM Prestone Tynsong, Speaker of Assembly Metbah Lyngdoh, Leader of Opposition Mukul Sangma, Chief Adviser to the Government DD Lapang, ministers and MLAs besides members of the SKJCLF.

SKJCLF President Most Revd P Lyngdoh said, “This is the first ever State and Church Leaders Prayer Meeting organised by the SKJCLF to pray for God’s guidance upon our leaders in the Government, the Churches and the Society that they dedicate their service for the welfare and development of our people and our land.”

He said the Forum prayed for peace and brotherhood to prevail in Meghalaya and our nation, as well as for the victims and the effects of the pandemic coronavirus in different parts of the world.
