CM, BJP’s decision to drop him as cabinet minister came as rude shock, says Hek
Senior BJP leader and Pynthorumkhrah legislator Alexander Laloo Hek on Wednesday said he was never informed about the decision to drop him as cabinet minister.
Hek was replaced by his party colleague Sanbor Shullai from South Shillong constituency on Tuesday after the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma decided to induct him as new cabinet minister.
Also present during the swearing in ceremony was BJP state president Ernest Mawrie.
When sought for his reaction to the sudden political development, Hek admitted that the cabinet reshuffle for the BJP’s quota came as a ‘rude shock’.
“This is very sad. I was not informed neither by the party nor the government,” he said over phone.
Hek was made former health and family welfare minister overnight. “At least courtesy should be there whether it is a small or big issue, they should have informed me,” he regretted.
On the rumours that he would take over as the BJP state president, Hek however said there has been no communication to him till date on this regard.
The sudden political development also came after the recent visit of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to the state.
