CM convenes MDA meeting ahead of presidential election

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday chaired the meeting of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) ahead of the presidential election fixed on July 18.

Prior to the meeting, Sangma said that the MDA meeting will discuss the upcoming presidential elections.

“We have asked all the MLAs to come so that we can explain to them the voting process so that’s the entire agenda,” he said.

If the UDP’s demand for action against BJP leader and cabinet minister Sanbor Shullai will be taken up during the meeting, Sangma however said that he is looking into the entire aspect.

“We are consulting with everybody and we will take a decision at an appropriate time,” he added.
