CM retained Finance while Prestone to maintain law & order & Ampareen to ensure health for all
The much-awaited allocation of portfolios of the Council of Ministers of the NPP led MDA 2.0 ended on Thursday evening with issuance of the official notification where Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma retained the Finance Department, Forests & Environment Department, Home (Political) Department, Planning, Investment Promotion & Sustainable Development Department and Mining & Geology Department for himself.
According to notification, Conrad will also look after Elections Department, Personnel & A.R. Department, Programme Implementation & Evaluation Department, Information. Technology and Communication Department & any Portfolios not allotted to any other Ministers.
Prestone Tynsong is entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining law and order in the State beside ensuring good roads and bridge and smooth conduct of the three Autonomous District Council in the State as Deputy Chief Minister in charge Home (Police) Department, Public Works Department(R), Public Works Department (B), District Council Affairs Department & Parliamentary Affairs Department.
Sniawbhalang Dhar who has been now been elevated to the capacity of Deputy Chief Minister in the MDA 2.0 will once take charge of the Urban Affairs Department besides Transport Department, Commerce & Industries Department & Department of Prisons and Correctional Services.
Alexander Laloo Hek, is tasked as the Minister in charge for Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Fisheries Department, Printing & Stationery Department & Secretariat Administration Department.
Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh is entrusted as the Minister in charge for Health & Family Welfare Department, Law Department, Information & Public Relations Department & Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department.
Paul Lyngdoh, Minister is tasked as the Minister for Social Welfare Department, Tourism Department, Arts & Culture Department & Textiles Department.
Comingone Ymbon, Minister will look after the Food Civil Supplies & Consumers Affairs Department, Water Resources Department, Home (Civil Defence and Home Guards) Department & Cooperation Department.
Abu Taher Mondal is entrusted with task of ensuring proper power supplies in the State as Minister in-charge of Power Department, Community & Rural Development Department & Taxation Department.
Kyrmen Shylla, is tasked as Minister in charge of Excise Department, Revenue & Disaster Management Department, Legal Metrology Department & Home (Passport) Department.
Shri Marcuise N. Marak, Minister bestowed with the responsibility of ensuring safe drinking water in the State as Minister in charge of Public Health Engineering Department beside Housing Department, & Soil & Water Conservation Department.
Rakkam A Sangma is entrusted with the task of improving the Education sector in the State as Minister in charge of Education Department, General Administration Department & Border Areas Development Department while Shakliar Warjri Minister will look after Sports & Youth Affairs Department & Labour Department, Registration & Stamps Department.
