CoMSO to stage black flag day against delay to implement ILP

The Confederation of Meghalaya Social Organizations (CoMSO) will stage a statewide black flag protest against the delay to implement the inner-line permit (LP) on Friday. 

According to CoMSO chairman, Robertjune Kharjahrin, it is also to protest against the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). In the state capital, the protest will begin from Motphran from 8 am, he said. 

“We also demand the government to speed up sending the Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security (Amendment)Bill, 2020 to the Governor for his approval,” Kharjahrin said.
