Constable held for selling drugs

A Battalion constable along with his accomplice was arrested yesterday in a special operation and 3.33 gms Heroin was recovered from their possession. Heroin was meant for sale to innocent youth in Jaintia Hills.

The Constable who is already under suspension travelled from Jowai in Police uniform to avoid checking by the authorities.

However, a joint team of ANTF East Jaintia Hills, Lumshnong PS, Umkiang PP & Ratacherra CP worked in close coordination and foiled their attempt.

Their particulars are as follows :

1) Shri. Chwamiki Lyngdoh (28 yrs) R/o Chutwakhu, WJHD (Constable).

2) Shri. Wyrai Chyrmang (21 yrs) R/o Mihmyntdu, WJHD.

Both have been arrested. Vehicle & Consignment seized. Case registered.
