Containment Areas declared at Bakur Village
The Sub Divisional Magistrate, Amlarem Civil Sub- Division on Monday declared the areas under Upper Bakur and Dong Iew Bakur of Bakur village as Containment areas so as to restrict movement of people between different households with effect from midnight of 14th June, 2021 and until further orders.
The order has been issued after there has been a surge of Covid-19 positive cases in the area under Upper Bakur and Dong lew Bakur of Bakur Village and that the results of active surveillance/ random sampling carried out on 14th June 2021 resulted in a high positivity rate of over 20 %.
The order states that no persons shall be allowed to move into the Containment Area and inhabitant within the Containment Area shall not move out. All the inhabitants within the Containment Area shall strictly remain inside their homes.
No gatherings, events, functions of any nature and form shall be allowed.
No Social, Political, Religious, Economic activities are allowed,
All shopping establishment of whatsoever nature shall be closed immediately.
Availability of essential and medical requirements for purchase will be ensured through the Office of the Sub Divisional Officer (Supply) Amlarem.
All Government and Private institutions located within the boundary of the Containment area are to closed forthwith till further orders.
All regular vehicles originating from outside the containment areas as specified above and plying through the NH- 40E are to do so without stopping midway in the containment areas.
The Incident Commander who is the Sub Divisional Officer (C) shall be the Supervising officer of the areas which are declared as Containment Area.
However, the Order wil not apply to Health Workers, Officials of the Supply Branch of the Office of the Sub Divisional Officer (Supply) Amlarem, other Government officials/staff dealing
with ensuring essential services, Press including Electronic and Print Media, Petrol Pumps and LPG delivery workforce.
The Police will patrol the area regularly to enforce compliance with the order.
The order also states that the containment would be lifted on the basis of reliable evidence of the decline of COVID-19 infection determined through falling positivity rate and therefore active surveillance will be continued by the Dawki PHC within containment area.
Any violation of this Order shall entail prosecution under the penalty provision of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and IPC. SDPRO Amlarem
