Containment lifted from 3 areas in Shillong

Three areas which was earlier placed under containment areas have been lifted by the East Khasi Hills District Magistrate Matsiewdor War Nongbri after no new COVID-19 cases were detected in past few days.

Based on contact tracing status and test reports of high risk contacts in Demsieniong, Assam Rifles Signal Unit, Nongsohphoh, Upper Mawprem and Lower Lachumiere, Hopkinson Road from Stephen Hall to Gold Gym and in view of reports received thereof, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills in orders issued on 1^st August, 2020 has lifted the containment orders for COVID-19 for these areas with effect from 1^st August, 2020.
