Containment lifted from four localities in Jowai
The District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills District, Garod LSN Dykes on Wednesday has withdrawn the containment tag from four localities in Jowai after no fresh COVID-19 cases were reported.
The areas that have been unsealed are:
Ladthadlaboh
Lumpariat
Moosalyngkat
Caroline Colony
“The Containment tag has been lifted on the recommendation of the Health & Family Welfare Department, West Jaintia Hills that the contact tracing exercise conducted by the Contact Tracing Team and house to house search of persons who are symptomatic has been completed in the last five days,” Garod said in an order issued.
Further, Garod said that the Village COVID-19 Management Committee has to immediately report any new symptomatic individuals to Medical Officer, Ladthadlaboh UPHC or contact the district helpline number 6009693315.
“The VCMC to ensure that positive cases kept under home isolation and high risk contacts if any shall not be allowed to venture out until the isolation period is over,” the district magistrate added.
The District Magistrate asked the residents to be wary. People are directed to strictly adhere to the health protocols and not to litter garbage but to dispose the same as per protocol and direction of the Village authority and to cooperate with the arrangement made by the District Administration, Police and Village Authority.
