Containment lifted from Nongkseh village

The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hill District on Sunday has lifted the containment order in entire village of Nongkseh, 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong.

The order was issued after report was received from the Incident Commander & Block Development Officer, Mylliem C&RD Block and the Medical Officer in-charge of Shastri Memorial Dispensary that the total number of positive cases since the beginning of containment was 80 (eighty), and till date there are only 15 (fifteen) active cases.

“…it is hereby ordered to lift the containment of the entire village of Nongkseh, 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong,with the following conditions,” the order said.

The order said that the households of the 15 active cases should remain under Micro-Containment and should strictly follow the isolation protocols as mandated by the Government.

The order further said that in view of the Lockdown/Curfew being promulgated in the district, residents should remain indoors, except for essential and medical requirements adding that people may come forward for vaccination.

Its also added that all symptomatic persons should be tested and reported immediately. Gatherings, weddings, meetings and congregations are not allowed and residents must ensure double masking and maintain social distancing at all times.
