Containment tag lifted partially from a locality in Jowai

The District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills District, Garod LSN Dykes on Monday has partially lifted the containment order from Dulong locality in Jowai. Only places with active cases tag as micro containment until further orders.

The decision was taken based on the Active Surveilance conducted and recent testing of high risk contacts as well as vulnerable population of Dulong locality and report received that the rate of transmission seems to have tapered off.

“The micro containment in Dulong Locality Jowai is lifted with immediate effect. However, micro containment of Lumsuwe a locality in Dulong is extended with immediate effect and until further order,” the District Magistrate said in his order.
