Containment Zone lifted in many areas in West Jaintia Hills

The District Magistrate of West Jaintia Hills, District Garod LSN Dykes on Monday has lifted the containment orders from six areas which was earlier placed under micro containment after no new COVID-19 cases were detected.

The areas that have been unsealed are:

Kynjing Colony and Pamhadem under Panaliar Jowai.

Umrapasa under Chilliangraij, Jowai.

Joseph Nardini Seminary, Ummulong

Mudop Locality and Dong Iaw, Nartiang Village

Dong Lumpdang Mowtyrshiah A.

The order further said that in view of the Total Curfew being promulgated in the district, the area is not exempted from the coronavirus curfew.
