Coronavirus: 10 new micro containment zones declared in Shillong

The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District on Monday has declared ten new micro containment zones in Shillong after the detection of positive COVID-19 cases.

New Micro Containment Zones:
Rosibon Villa at Qualapatty,
House No 203/3 at Pine Walk near Lady Keane College,
House of Persara Lyngdoh at Jaiaw Lumbatemon,
South Side Servants Quarters at Ferndale Apartments, IGP,
W-304, Ferndale Apartments, IGP,
House of Shri Dilip Chakraborty (tenant),
R.G. Villa at Riat Laban West,
House of Smti Tullina Sharma at Riat Laban East opposite water tank and the Flat of Dr. R. Gurung,
Pala Building at Madan Laban (Shiliang). 

The order restrict unregulated entry and exit in the affected areas which requires contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of the health of the general public to prevent against any possible spread of COVID-19.  

Containment Orders Lifted
The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District has also lifted the containment orders for the house of Smti Tri Shabong at Lawsohtun Block 2 (Lumpdeng), Kali Mandir at Qualapatty, Flat No-104 of Ferndale complex, Shillong, Riat Laban East and St. John area under Madan Laban with immediate effect.
