Coronavirus: More buildings placed under containment in Shillong city

East Khasi Hills District Magistrate, Matsiewdor War Nongbri has declared more buildings and houses as containment areas in Shillong city after the detection of positive cases in order to prevent further spread of COVID-19 infection.

These houses and buildings are of Smti S. Syiem at New Kench’s Trace, Smti D. Lamin, Riat Laban East, Madan Laban, Shri L. B. Rapthap, opposite Benz Residency, Central Bishnupur, Shri Nirbor Kharkongor and Smti Rikynti Kharkongor, Mynsain Neng, Upper Lumparing.

The District Magistrate also issued a fresh order to retain only Lovely Store at Malki Point, Malki and house of Martian Mawthoh at Riat Bharat, Malki Nongshiliang as containment areas.

“There has been a recent high risk and low risk contact  with the COVID-19 positive cases, vulnerable and affected areas require aggressive contact tracing, quarantine, testing and isolation as well as containment in the interest of health of general public against any possible spread of COVID-19,”  District Magistrate said in her order issued on Thursday.
