Counting of votes for 29 constituencies under KHADC notified in seven locations

The District Council Affairs Department, Meghalaya has notified the counting centres for General Election of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) in East Khasi Hills District, West Khasi Hills District, South West Khasi Hills District, Eastern West Khasi District and Ri Bhoi District to be held on the 24th of this month from 8am onwards.

According to the notification issued on the 17th of this month, the counting of votes for all five constituencies in Ri Bhoi District will be held at NSCA Indoor Stadium, Nongpoh while the counting of votes for the two constituencies in Eastern West Khasi District will be held at Multipurpose Hall in the office of the DC, Mairang and the counting of votes for the two constituencies in South West Khasi Hills District will be held in Multipurpose Hall, DC’s office Mawkyrwat.

The notification informed that the counting of votes for Mawphlang Diengiei, Nongspung-Sohiong, Sohryngkham, Mawkynrew, Nongkrem, Mawsynram, Mylliem, Laban- Mawprem, Nongthymmai, Laitumkhrah-Mawprem, Mawkhar-Pynthorumkhrah, Jaiaw and Mawlai will be held in the Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT), Mawiong, Shillong.

Further, the counting of votes for the three constituencies in West Khasi Hills District will be held in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Nongstoin while the counting of votes for Lyngkyrdem Laitkroh and Nongskhen will be held in the office of the SDO (Civil), Pynursla and the counting of votes for Sohra and Shella will be held in New Conference Hall, office of the SDO (Civil), Sohra.
