Cousins murdered fellow cousin by spliting his head into two portions in Meghalaya

In a cold blooded murder, the head of one person was smashed and split into two portions by his two cousin brothers at a remote place in East Jaintia Hills District on Friday.

Police said some residents of Mooriap village reported to them that one person identified as Raju Yndoh was suspected to have been murdered by unknown persons at Jalaphet Bri-Sumer.

Police said Raju was coming from Jalaphet in his maruti car along with his two cousin brothers.

Police said Umpleng OP police rushed to the spot and found the dead body of a male person lying on the road side with his head having been smashed by sharp objects and split into two portions.

During inspection of the PO, the weapon of commission, one dao which was broken into two parts was found near the body of the deceased.

During preliminary enquiry and questioning of the cousin brother identified Donbor Yndoh and on observation of his wearing apparels, it was found that his trouser along with his shoes were covered with blood.

On suspicion, Janki Yndoh his other cousin brother was also picked up and both were brought to Khliehriat PS for safe custody and for interrogation.

Further, during interrogation, the duo admitted to have committed the crime and they were arrested in connection with the crime, police said.

A murder case is being registered at Saipung PS and investigation is in progress.
