Cover fly ash/clinker with waterproof tarpaulin during transportation
The District Magistrate, East Jaintia Hills District informs that it has been observed that trucks are transporting fly ash/clinker in NH6 on a daily basis and this unscrupulous and reckless act by transporters has resulted in dust particles emanating from the trucks.
He also said that the airborne fly ash/clinker if inhaled can trigger asthma, inflammation and immunological reactions and also result into public nuisance and inconvenience at a large scale. Furthermore, he has directed all types of vehicles transporting fly ash/ clinker to be stopped and should not continue to do so.
In view of the above, the District Magistrate East Jaintia Hills District in an Order under section 144 of the CrPC has directed all the trucks ferrying fly ash/clingers to other places should be covered with suitable water proof tarpaulin. The order also prohibits throwing and dumping of Fly ash/ Clinker along the National Highway.
Anyone, if detected or found violating the above stipulated conditions, stern action will be initiated against them as per provisions of the Law. This Order shall come into force with immediate effect until further Orders.
