COVID-19: EKH Admin declared two micro containment areas

East Khasi Hills District Magistrate has declared two new micro containment areas after the detection of positive COVID-19 cases at Laban and Madan Laban area on Tuesday.

The areas which were declared as micro containment include the House of Mrs. C Syiem, Clarin Cottage, Dunn Hill Road, Harisabha, Laban and Flat of B. Deb in the building of Smti. A. M Rynjah, Madan Laban (Shiliang).

The order restrict unregulated exit and movement in the affected areas from September 8 which require contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of the health of the general public to prevent against any possible spread of COVID-19.

In another order, the District Magistrate has lifted the containment order from the Compound of Bipul Bhawan, Jail Road, Matri Nawas Building, Jail Road, Quarter No. A4, A5, A6, A7, A8 and A9 of Municipal Quarters, Bishop Cotton Road, and from the building of Dr. Lumlang Jyrwa, Oxford Hill.

The containment order was lifted based on the contact tracing status and testing of the high risk contacts.
