COVID-19: Gumaghat outpost closed temporarily

The Gumaghat Out-Post in South West Khasi Hills District has been temporarily closed after one of the officials tested positive for COVID-19.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, Assistant Inspector General of Police (A), GK Iangrai said, police officials of the Out-Post have been placed under medical observation and at present all official works of the Out-Post have been shifted to Ranikor Police Station.

He said the Out-Post is being disinfected as per protocols and once the establishment has been declared fit for re-occupation, the Out-Post will then be opened for official works. The general public residing within the jurisdiction of the Out-Post are requested to approach Ranikor Police Station for any urgent requirement or assistance.
