COVID-19 patient died at NEIGRIHMS hospital
A 46-year-old patient, who had tested positive for COVID-19, passed away at the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) hospital on Friday.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War told reporters that the patient was admitted at the hospital for treatment due to chronic kidney failure.
“He (patient) was also tested positive for COVID-19,” he said. Whether his passing away would be counted as COVID-19 death, Dr War however said that will officially be known tomorrow.
It may be mentioned here that five patients including a senior doctor have so far died in the state due to COVID-19.
